We learn from mistakes and grow from experience. A friend of the Open Door Rapport reiterated the importance of keeping this thing going. What is this and why spend time writing and talking on the internet? Because, it’s possible. Since its founding, some twelve months ago, people have come together to share conversation, song, and literature. Along with this project, it founded the Paper Campfire, an experimental local journalism publication. The world continues to spin and members of these projects have died. Does that mean we should give up? No! We are invigorated by the gift of life.
We hope still to grow into something special that can be an always available source of good rapport. Our lives take us everywhere. We are not “professional bloggers” and have no intention whatsoever of living up to the viral quality of the internet aristocracy. We embrace our amateur quality and expect our readers and listeners to find whatever solace they may discover in their own thoughts after listening to our podcast or reading our words. We invite submissions of content. Spend some time and think before e-mailing.
